Jodhaa Akbar Release Date Confirmed As 25th January, 2008 Ashutosh Gowariker and UTV have finally (stress on finally) have decided on a release date for JODHAA AKBAR. Expect the epic movie to hit the theaters on 25th January, 2008. “The change of release date is due to the fact that JODHAA AKBAR has an extremely demanding post-production schedule,” the statement adds. Jodhaa-Akbar is garnering a lot of critical acclaim at the Cannes Film festival, which

doesn’t surprise me ,considering it’s directed by the brilliant Ashutosh Gowariker. In fact Ashutosh Gowariker also made it to Variety’s list of the 60 most important people to watch out at Cannes ’07.

The film has been produced UTV and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and they were overwhelmed by the response generated by the 2-minute promo showcases at Cannes. Says Sunita Gowariker, “The reactions were amazing. Buyers for Germany, France and South Africa were very excited. Representatives from Venice and Rome were keen that JODHAA-AKBAR be showcased at their
